Glass-block House

A tiny house with the land size of just 18 square meter located in District 1 was renovated by ROOM+ Design & Build. The renovated house consists of a living-dining-kitchen area and also a leather fashion shop on the ground level and two cozy bedroom suites on the above floors with contemporary yet traditionally-inspired interior design.

Two old brick facades were replaced entirely by glass blocks, an uncommon yet unique material. At daytime, the house engages natural light and ventilation coming inside. At night, when lights on, the house becomes a magically sparkling lantern in the middle of the neighborhood.

The project has been published on popular local and international websites such as VnExpress and ArchDaily and also short-listed for the prestigious International Design & Architecture Awards 2020.
